Beendigen is dedicated to provide quality counselling services to women who are the victims of abuse.  Our services are delivered through individual and group programming.

Objectives:

• To provide a wide range of Wholistic healing services to women and children in the community.

Criteria:

• Counselling services are available to any Aboriginal women.

Program
Description &
Group Programming

• Counsellors complete an initial assessment of an individual's needs and goals. Clients may also be referred to any of Beendigen's Services.
• Beendigen's Programming May Include:
• Children's Domestic Abuse Program
• Traditional Women's Sacred Circles
• Self Esteem & Assertiveness
• Stress Management
• Girls Teen Group

Beendigen also holds a variety of breif educational seminars on health and wellness issues.  Topics have included women's teachings, understanding depression, diabetic health, and parenting teens.

The seven sacred teachings are incorporated into these programs, Honesty, Respect, Wisdom, Truth, Humility, Courage and Love.
